Rash - Herpes Message Board

My mother noticed that spots (rash) on my neck. At first i couldn't notices it because it was that small. Then a few days last i notices it because it got itchy and the spots got bigger. I when u the doctor and he said it was small blister which were just getting bigger from a virus. And there was nothing i could do about it just let it run it's course and it will away it's self. All he could do is give something 2 stop the itch. A day later and seen the doctor what ever it is, is starting 2 get sore i think it mite just b from my clothes rubbing of the blister.What do u think i should go back 2 the doctor and tell him?

It is unlikely to be herpes as that only affects around the mouth or the genitals (or the torso in the case of shingles). On the other hand, the doctor must have had a reason to suggest a viral infection. However, I can't think of a virus that would cause a localised rash or blisters without other symptoms like headache or an upset stomach.
You should either go back to your doctor or maybe try to see a dermatologist.

I know it's not herpes i have and 2 be honest i didn't wat it really was until now. And I got know symptoms at all i just broke out in it. As i as the doctor said nothing can 2 dont about. But thanks 4 the advice and taking the time 2 read my question. I'm not one 4 getting sick so it's a bit worrying having something like this happen and not no y. Amo
