yes both are rare but both if caught in time are treatable. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms it is best to go get checked with the Herpes Encephaltis you also will have seizures, high fevers, loss of appette, imagine things, inconherent, tingling, loss of motor skills... you have more chance of transmitting it with HSV1 then HSV2, but like the other member mentioned both are very very rare. I say it is better to be educated when it comes this virus, I know it is scary, but don't panic, you know your body and if something was seriously wrong you would know other then the norm.. take care and breathe...
