Valtrax: HOw long?? - Herpes Message Board

Does anyone know long after taking valtrex will herpes symptoms/outbreak go away?? Also, does it get worse before it gets better?? I started it on monday and i really feel like htere is no difference 3 days later. Anyone have a clue??

Depending on where you have your ob determines how lon to go away. in the vagina is longer because of moist tissue that does not dry out. I say 2 weeks is not unheard of to feel as though you are healing. the first ob is the worst and depending on the strain determines the amount and size of blisters

When I took Valtrex 2x a day, I noticed a big difference it just two days. I was completely blister free in 5 days (had a follow up visit with my gyno & he did a pap and said everything had healed) but I continue to take meds everyday but just 1 now. I haven't had an ob since the first. I have Type 1 Genital.
