If you look this up online, then you will find type1 and type2 Herpes. Genital can be from 1 or 2. Type one is mainly on face and can be spread through oral sex. I don't believe that one is as strong of a virus as type 2 is. It is possible for type 2 to spread to face because some of my friends have it and don't have it on their genitals. You can also catch it in your eyes from touching the sores and rubbing your eyes. It very contagious when active and some say all the time from shedding of the cells.
