Can herpes be spread by oral sex? I have had genital herpes for 6 years. Soon to be divorced, potential partner...Terrified to infect him. to the point of not being with him, will oral performed on him infect him? I am not prone to cold sores, and take aclovor (sp?) only when tingling starts. Seriously considering NOT having a relationship with him, fear, massive fear of infecting him. Big responsability.

If you only have genital herpes you cannot spread it by giving oral sex.

If you sometimes get oral herpes (cold sores), you can spread that by giving oral sex. It is very possible your new partner already has hvs1 and does not know it (80-90% of adults have it and most don't know it). If that is the case, you cannot re-infect him with your oral hvs1 virus. Keep in mind, if you do get cold sores you can spread that to his mouth by kissing too. If you are not having an oral outbreak there is very small chance of transmission.

Hi. If you have Herpes and are taking your medicine daily and using condoms, then you have a much greater chance of NOT infecting him. A lot of people have genital Herpes and their partner never gets it. The meds really help along with being careful

I had genital herpes for 25 years and sometimes drove me suicidal. I used Zovirax and Acyclovir and they weren't too bad. Tried also liquid oxigen but with no effect. I found now the right medicine wich works a treat for me. I didn't have any outbreak for over a year now. The magic medicine is called...
Cloroquine and is used to treat malaria. Apparently the malaria virus has a similar profile like and this stuff works a treat. It's faster and more powerfull the zovirax and costs arond 6 dollars for a few weeeks cure. Please try it and share this with the others. The usual dose is two tablets taken the same day of every week but i take three as i have 14 stones. Stop the cure after 3-4 months, wait for 3-4 months and then do another one. Taking cloroquine for very long time can affect your vision by messing the corneea up. Trust me on this one as i am not trying to sell anything or get any advantage of it.
