I unknowlingly slept with a man who had herpes - just once without a condom. What are my chances of having it?

Impossible to say. You could take an IgG blood test but you would need to wait until at least three months after the date of possible infection to allow antibodies to build up in your blood.

Download the herpes handbook by Terri Warren and look under transmission. Your odds of getting it from a one time encounter with someone not having an outbreak is less than 1%...it would be closer to 5% if you had sex all year.

If he was having an outbreak, just before or just after outbreak, your odds of being infected are very high.
