If I have HSV 1 and my partner has HSV 2 should we be taking any precautions? Herpes is Herpes yes? Can you have both and what are the risks? Can we tested for immunity from the one we dont have?

Yes you should still take precautions as it is possible to aquire both types. If that does not bother you then dont worry.

The biggest difference is HSV1 generally has less ob then HSV2

Tested for immunity not that i know of..
