Do I have herpes frome the sound of it ?Can I spred it to my 14 month old son? - Herpes Message Board

I have not been tested,but I have all the sign's, except rupture's, up till 4 week's ago (I would say 3 or 4 year's) I would just get itching down there, maybe some red bump's,some time's I would get a sore on my roof of my mouth,swollen gland's, achy muscle's,mostly when sick, did not know what it was. Than recently I got a tattoo on my arm,a week had past and I started to get a rash on my arm, all around the tattoo, not on the tattoo but in between. Little bump's,vary tinny, right next to each other,vary itchy. Than it seemed to also pop up the same way on my pns. shaft and head, it kinda has come and gone, and come and gone, for about 4 week's since the tattoo, also almost forgot, I got it bad on the bottoms of my feet,and palms of my hands, for about a week,also got visible bumps that itched bad between my finger's. I had got those bump's between my finger's once about 4 year's ago,have not seen them since then. I have not seen any one with this symptom on the web.I could not see the bumps on my feet and palm's but they seemed to be under the skin, and itched,and The one's between my finger's dry'ed up after a week and went away now it is just on my arm and pns it seem's to look like it is going to completely go away and it start's to get bad again I have not seen any fluid any wear though lot's of little bump's on pns. shaft. Dose this sound like herpes from the sound of what I am discribeing? and I have a 14 month old that I am vary close with. I am in bath's with him,change him, hug him, kiss him ect, will I give it to him,have I already ? Could it be something with the tattoo not herpes? Could the tattoo have set off an outbreak of herpes?What would I look for on my son If he did contract it? I know I need to go in for a for sure answer ,but I would like to ease my mind and get some info. also I have had alot of sex partner's before my present girl not alway's protected stupid ya I know. Please Help Me someone Thanx,

Lets see.. if you have herpes you can not pass it to your son, it is transmitted from skin to skin contact with infected area ( normally genital or oral) also not by inanimate objects.

Also using a condom doesn't protect you from herpes like it does for other stds, i mean it lessens the transmission but since it is skin to skin it is not as effective since it doesnt cover the whole "boxer short" area.

Have you changed your soaps or anything recently? This could cause you to have an allergic reaction... there could have been something the tattoo artist used also that could have triggered it.

To be positive if you have herpes or not you should go to your doctor and request an IgG type specific blood test.. this will let you know if you have it and which type.

The bumps rash around your tatoo could be an allergic reaction. What were you using to put on it? You may want to check back with whomever did the tat.
