Could this be herpes and if so how can i get tested? |
Do you know if they had oral herpes/cold sores? If so, this can be transmitted to your genitals even when there is no outbreak present. Since this may be a new infection you can get tested via blood test (IgG type specific) but if the results come back negative or low positive you should wait 3-4 months and get retested so your body has enough time to build up the antibodies needed to be detected if you do indeed have herpes.
