herpies - Herpes Message Board

i have just been informed that I sleep with some who has been confirmed to have herpies.. god I cant stop crying... can u get herpies from drinking after someone, or useing the bathroom after them. what are the real none ways of getting it. I have two children at home and I am scared to death I was single 1 1/2 yrs. no nothing.. I had a bad relationship for 3yrs and when it was over I stayed that way, now I find out that this is a possibalty.. please help me and my girs incase i got it.

I would suggest that you request an IgG herpes type specific blood test to see if you had gotten it (if it has been at least 4 months it should be detected if you have it).

Also this is spread through skin to skin contact with infected area..so your children are fine. It is not spread through inanimate objects..or blood..bodily fluid... try to remain calm..and go get tested.

If you test positive it still is not the end of the world.. I hope the best for you please keep us posted.

thank u very much. this is something that I was very worried that I might lose my children over this. u have eased my mind, I will make an appt first hig tomorrow. thank u again
