Ok.. first relax.. herpes can not be passed from objects such as Toliet seats, shower stalls, ect...for example if your mom touches a chair and then you touch it! YOU will not catch the virus... herpes is passed from skin to skin contact with the infected area.. So if your mom has HSV2... which is genital herpes, unless you are a sexual partner you are not going to catch it and I don't think she will be touching the infected area and then going around without washing her hands and touching you or your son.. I really don't think you have anything to worry about...... I understand your concern and I am not meaning to come across harsh.
