Re: Herpes

hi.

Herpes is passed when you come into contact with someone who has the virus, it is passed through skin to skin contact with the infected area. HSV1 which is most common and is the least aggressive of the two, this is what people refer to as Cold Sores, it will apprear on/around the lips chin and nose area, passed by kissing, can be passed to the genital area( by oral) HSV2 which is Genital Herpes is passed during sexual contact with a person who has it. Symptoms for HSV1 some itching or burning, or tingling then shortly after bumps or blisters will appear and sometimes turn to scabs... HSV2 headache that doesn;t go away with meds, low grade fever, swellon glands in the genital area, itching /burning sevre or mild, sometimes you will have both, then shortly after a bump, blister or cut will appear. You can also have flu like symptoms body aches and pains, extreme fatigue.. Sypmtoms vary from person to person in intensty and duration, some women present with yeast like sypmtoms, like i said it all depends on the person, in can take anywhere from 2-25 days for symptoms to appear after coming into contact with the virus, some people never have symptoms but still have the virus, FYI- Herpes can be passed when NO Symptoms are present.. Be careful and take precautions to protect yourself and your partner.

Re: Herpes Simplex

I am very sorry to say that there is NO Cure for herpes, there are prescriptions durgs such as Valtrex that you can get from your doctor to help control and prevent OB's, there are a lot of over the counter remedies that people with herpes also use to help with OB's, but everyone is different so you wold have to experiment a little to see what works for you.. here are a few .. L-lysine, St Johns Wart, Lemon balm, there are others too. Both Types of herpes are simplex, it just depends on where you have them that defines the different between the two... HSV1 herpes simplex 1 generally referred to as Cold Sores, are affect the lips, chin and nose area, YOu can get this in the genital area, but it is not as aggressive and you tend to have fewer and less serve OB's, HSV2
Herpes simplex 2, which is referred to as Genital herpes, is usually in the genital area, more agressive and more OB's, again with both types it really depends on the person's body and how it reacts.. You can during your first OB, get the sores in other areas of your body, it is uncommon but not rare.. Herpes effects the nerves, and that is how it travels throughout your body, so anywhere you have a nerve ending Herpes can pop up, normally your first OB is the worst, but not always. I know this is upsetting, but Herpes is not fatal and hundreds of people live normal happy lives with relationships, have a family. Herpes can be very disruptive at times and it is very emtional but its not the end of the world... Take Care and I hope I helped... If you think you were exposed go be tested not only for yourself but for anyone else you may care about..

Re: Herpes

No there is NO cure, only medication that will help to minium the symptoms and control OB's (out breaks) Herpes is not fatal, it can be very life altering but People after coming with terms that they have this virus, still lead very normal lives with healthy relationships and children...
