Hi , im a concerned teen NEEDING answers.
2 nights ago , me and my partner were having some ''fun'' .
we have consumed some alcohol, and i totally forgot abut my coldsore. It was very dry and scabbed , and HARDLY noticeable.
We kissed alot, & then he performed oral sex on me ( also known as, ''eating out'' ).
i want to know if i can get genital herpes from this.
Because I was the one with the coldsore, but im not sure if i can get genital herpes from this.
but keep in mine that the coldsore was VERY dry and scabbed and barely noticeable.
i dont think i can get GH from this, but im paranoid now.
so any answers ?

In my opinion, he could have passed it to the genitals, but the risk is very low.. My best advice would be to see if you have any symptoms, it can take anywhere from 2-25 days, but since you already have the antibodies in your system I would say NO, I would be more concerned about you passing it to him oral through the kissing.. Remember you can pass the virus without symptoms so since you had one and even though in your opinion it was almost gone, the higher risk would be to him, not you..

I agree with coping...there might be a slim, outside chance it was possible, but the bigger risk is you passing it to him.

If you've been getting cold sores for a while, your body has immunity to getting re infected with the same virus. The chance of you getting reinfected genitally is very small. It could only happen if you have unusually weak immune system.
The greater risk is your partner getting it orally from kissing you.
