Question First Outbreak - helpp
Hey everyone. I recently discovered I had herpes but caused by the HSV 1 virus. My question is, since i caught it by hsv 1, does this mean recurrences will be less frequent/severe or if i will get any at all? The pain is unbearable, especially when having to pee where its impossible for me to do so without crying. I couldn't find much information about genital herpes caused by hsv 1 on the internet without websites going into cold sores so I was wondering if there is anyone who could share information about this.

My first outbreak was horrible it hurt to walk, to sit, to do about anything. The other outbreaks I have are no where near as painful as the first.

Type 1 prefers the oral area so they say out of it's normal area i.e. on the genitals, the virus loses some of its 'punch' and occurs less frequently than type 2 on genitals and 'sheds' less. Same with type 2 on oral area.

HSV-2 positive. Found out 9-27-07. Flu-like symptom 6-7-07.
Year one outbreaks Sep Oct Nov Dec Apr Jun. Ugh.
Year two outbreaks Dec Apr/May
