Hepes on the fingers/hand from HSV2

I had a sexual encounter of sorts last night. We began foreplay and I use my fingers to pleasure her genitally and she did the same for me. Right before we were going to take the next step she said she needed to tell me something important. That she has HSV 2 genitally. I didn't go through, because I wanted to think about it and make a more informed decision. While doing my research I came across that you can get HSV of either type on your fingers. I am really concern, because I have a small cut that was just healing. What are the chances of me getting HSV 2 on my fingers. I know I should be tested at 3 months, to give enough time to develop anti bodies, but how long would symptoms generally appear?

Should I not use that hand to eat anymore?

I think the chances are low, even with a cut but definitely still possible. If there was no cut then I would say not to worry at all since the skin on the fingers is so thick. You can still eat and go on normal. I wouldn't worry yourself sick over it though, just ensure you get tested a few months just to see, I think you'll be fine though (just my opinion).
