hsv 1 and 2 supressor

hi all, i want to ask, i had no outbreak before, until now, so, should i take acyclovir or valtrex daily to suppress it, or i should follow my doc's advise where i only take it during outbreak?
im just newly diagnosed and have no experience handling both hsv1 and 2..
so, i wish to seek guidance from people here.

Re: hsv 1 and 2 supressor

Either should be fine to take although Valtrex I believe would be once a day and the other more then once.

I would just take it when you have an outbreak or feel one coming on, other then that I would just put them away since your immune system seems to be doing fine on its own.

Maybe you are having an allergic reaction to something else. Have you changed soaps or anything?
