Question HSV1 through indirect contact?
Hello,

I am curious if HSV1 can be spread 'indirectly'. For example, if someone (with no cold sores) is kissing and massaging your body and then touches your genitals or mouth, can the small amount of saliva on the body from kissing transmit HSV1 to the genitals/mouth?

How long does HSV1 live outside the body?

The virus does not live long outside the body also it is not transmitted via bodily fluids but from skin to skin contact or from secretions from an active sore. I think you are ok, no worries
