New here...

I wished that I had known about this years ago. I was diagnosed with HSV2 in 1997 while I was pregnant. I was married at the time and didnt think that I would have to worry about this, but now I am wondering when is the right time to tell a new partner about my diagnosis.

The best time would be before becoming intimate but also when you feel comfortable.

Some people rather tell a person right off the bat so no time is wasted but I personally wait until I know or feel like there is actually potential for a relationship then I would have the talk.

A thing to keep in mind when letting a partner know is, not to make it sound like it is the worse thing in the world how you convey it is how it is perceived.

Many many people are accepting of our pesky skin condition. Just know sometimes a person may need a little time to let it sink in or to read up on it so don't take offense if that happens. If the person is not accepting then they weren't the right person for you.

I wish you the best of luck!
