Question Is this an outbreak?

Hello everyone,

Thank God I found this board...reading the posts has made me feel somewhat better about my situation.

I had my first outbreak over 9 months ago and am wondering if I am having an outbreak now or if this is something else?

I have a swollen lymph node in the groin area and I feel fatigued and am having "stomach issues" just like I did with my first outbreak, however, I have NO blisters and NO tingling feeling or anything like what I have read happens before/during an outbreak.

Is my body just trying to fight it off?

Thanks for any insight you can give!

Re: Is this an outbreak?

You may have an outbreak coming on. Do you happen to have any medication on hand for it? If not I suggest maybe you call your doctor and ask if he/she can call in a prescription.

I tell my doctor when ever I go to him to give me a script for daily therapy but I do not use it like that, I will just double up on a dosage for a day or two if I feel like an outbreak is coming and then poof nothing ever appears (this is what works for me).

Re: Is this an outbreak?

Thanks so much for your response!

I don't have any meds, but I am going to look in to it. It seems to be getting better so not sure if I'm even going to have an outbreak. SO odd!

My first one was "very mild" according to my Dr. (Is there even such a thing???) I only had 2 very small lesions but had flu-like symptoms like crazy.
