alternatives to having a baby with a partner who has herpes

My partner and I are discussing children, but want to know our options to having children because I have herpes and he does not and we would like to keep it that way. Any help would be appreciated.

This is pretty tough. Even when using a condom he is still at risk of getting the virus. The only thing I would think of would be to poke holes in a condom but your chances of getting pregnant that way wouldn't be as great as if you didn't use a condom.

Other then that there is artificial insemination, sorry but it is a tough position to be in when one person doesn't want to risk getting the virus. I do not wish it on anyone don't get me wrong but my opinion is it works a lot smoother when everyone knows the risks and are ok with knowing they may get it one day.

My ex husband and I never used condoms and we were together 4 yrs and he never got it.

I wish you the best of luck on getting pregnant! I know how exciting it is when Trying to conceive

My advice is get on some meds that prevent breakouts. Like the one that sounds like acylovair... I have no clue how to spell it. That is what I take. I have never passed it on to anyone and I have a kid. Take the meds for likke 2weeks then if willing have sex with out anything. I wouldn't say I'm 100% sure you wont pass it on but I'm pretty sure it will be all good. Good luck.
