Hello, well I have herpes but no children but I also have a friend who has it and she has 5 children. None of her children have herpes-she had all her children vaginally. If you are not having an outbreak it is very unlikely that you pass on the virus to your child during birth. If you have a sore when you are suppose to give birth they will do a c-section. Also you can take suppressive therapy several weeks before your due date. You will be fine having children. Just learn your body, due your research and be up front with your physician.
