Struggles with Symptoms, Life, Dating with the Disease

I have verified from MD by visual inspection that I have Herpes on genitals, and I'm trying to see if I also have it on lips too. I haven't had any breakouts, although I'm dosed up pretty regular with Lysine and Acyclovir.

I've seen like a micro-rash on my lips and some white puffy areas, at the bottom of my lip line, that look a little strange.
Do ever remember this before, or am I just imagining things ?

Is this contagious ? Can I even kiss someone ?
Will I ever be able to love anyone again ?

I don't know - do they look similar to Herpes: ?

This is no way to live.
Tell me, is there any breaking research that can cure this disease.

One other thing:
I'm not on a health plan, but have had a one-time Rx from local clinic for Acyclovir.
I've also, in the past, gotten Rx fills from Canadian pharmacy.

Where can I get an instant, internet Rx prescription, for prevention medication ?
I can fax my previous paperwork, and diagnosis.
love to hear a recommendation

Re: Struggles with Symptoms, Life, Dating with the Disease

Hey. I was diagnosed after being assaulted. I thought no one could ever love me again. I am now with somebody who knows and loves me anyway. I take valtrex and the last outbreak I had only lasted about 3 days. My boyfriend and I have unprotected sex and he is fine. There are good people who will look beyond it if they truly care but I know how difficult it is to live with. It seems the stigma around is worse than actually having it.

Re: Struggles with Symptoms, Life, Dating with the Disease

I can relate. I was recently diagnosed earlier this week and told my boyfriend right away. He says that he's going to need some time to research and digest this newly found information, and I understand. I am so worried that he is going to break-up with me over this. Everything that I have read pushes me believe that this is just a pesky skin disease and can be dealt with just fine in a 'normal', healthy relationship. I guess we will see.
