Looking for some answers
Hi, I recently tested positive for herpes simplex II, and have had 2 outbreaks already. They were not horrible, and the last one was for about 5 days. I have been really watching what i eat and trying to keep my stress levels down. It was very difficult in the beginning when i had my first outbreak. but i feel its better to accept it and look to living a healthy life with it. I am not in a relationship. and my biggest fears are the conversations leading up to having sex with someone again.
a few of my questions are:
Oral sex.. Obviously its not going to happen with an outbreak. But what is the best way to protect my partner from contracting it. I remember in school when they would say to use a condom... but really?? how dose that work for cunnilingus? and whats the best way to go about that.
Shaving.. I have always shaved my vaginal lips, I stopped doing that when i first noticed the outbreak. have others found it is just best to stop shaving all together? I'm worried that doing it between outbreaks could either spread it or irritate it more making more outbreaks? any suggestions?
I have also not gone back to the doc to get any meds. First i want to try and see what works for me naturally. Any Advice?
Thank you for the time and answers.
