LV could mean Left Ventricle. I believe they measure the percentage of blood pumped out of the left ventricle to determine the ejection fraction. An ejection fraction of 60% is considered normal. Sometimes people taking statins develop statin-induced diastolic dysfunction, which means their ejection fraction falls below 60%. That's about all I can tell you about it. Perhaps someone else has some additional information on it.
