| Re: Lipitor/time
Sagg - I can only speak for myself concerning your question about Lipitor.
I also put 2 + 2 together after experiencing pains/aches/soreness/weakness in both legs and arms after being on Lipitor for 2 months. This also spread up to my neck and shoulders, as well as my feet!
I want to add that I'm a very active sports person - play tennis at least once a week, and either walk/run daily, and lift light weights - so this PAIN I was experiencing came totally out of left field.
Unfortunately, I had continued to take it for 2 additional months, because my doctor thought it might be a pinched nerve or some other back-related problem causing my pains (but obviously he was wrong after sending me to 2 spine doctors, and having MRI and EMG tests done, which came back negative).
I've been off the Lipitor for 5 weeks now - I can honestly say I feel 75% better - sometimes my arms will ache, or my feet - my major complaint is both of my wrists ache (almost arthritis like) - I think the Lipitor just aggravated my wrists, since I'm sure I'm starting to develop arthritis in both wrists. I'm on the computer all day at work, so it hasn't been much fun.
In addition, on the advice of my people, I started to take CoQ10 a few days ago - I'm not sure how long before it starts to have any effect on me, but I'm going to continue on it.
In summary, I was on Lipitor for 4 months total - I'm in my 5th week of NO Lipitor, and I'm DEFINITELY feeling better!
Good luck!
Mark
