Mark, so far U got some good advice. Take some time and read as many of the posts here as possible, alot of good info. on this site. Don't forget those fruits and veggies, and stay away from sugary stuff and pre boxed things, as those will raise your Trigs and sugar levels even. 1/4 to a 1/2 tsp. of regular store bought cinnamon is very good for the TC and LDL as well as keeping your blood sugar levels in check.
The list just goes on and on, so take some time and do web searchers for low glycemic foods, and also the good fats, vs. the bad fats. Fish is great as long as U don't overdo, especially Salmon and tuna. Also try Oatmeal in the a.m., can even sprinkle some cinnamon on it.
