Georgess, I was very interested to read about your giving your husband coconut oil and you said it lowered his cholesterol and BP. Can I ask how much did his numbers go down, also what brand of oil are you using? I have just recently begun to use the oil and I have replaced butter with it. I read that if you add some honey and a little cinnamon it will make a delicious spread on your toast. It was true I just love it. I am trying to use it in baking and I did make some really good biscuits using it and no other oil. They were tender and flaky just like we like them and I mixed honey into the oil and used it to spread on them, yum yum. I got interested in coconut oil when I realized that everything you buy now has soy or soy oil, this is terrible for people with low thyroid, a low thyroid and you will have high cholesterol. I never realized I was dosing myself almost daily with soy because it was in cereals, soups, dressings, cakes, breads and in the new so called heart healthy spreads and orange juice. It has been a long battle to get my thyroid adjusted right and now I know why. Could you share any recipes. Thanks
