We are going to take more niacin, we will increase it to 1500mg like my doctor first suggested and increase our fish oil and double our policosanol to 20 and I am considering starting on Gugulipid . Everything I read seems to point to it as a good next step. In Dr. Whitaker's book he has a plan and Gugulipid supplements are recommended. I went on line to check it out and it is safe and none toxic to the body and works well. I have to admit that I was afraid to take the test for fear that all I have done has not worked but it obviously has. Thanks again for you kind replies it encourages me to go forth. |
Like they say...U go girl.......

Hey, as long as U are making progress that is what counts. Gee, that is a nice HDL for hubby of 60, wow!!! I'm like you, I don't want to go get tested, as I am always afraid the numbers will come back lousy and the dr. will get on my back again.
Hubby had bloodwork done yesterday, don't know if he had a lipid panel done, as this is for his cardio guy and urologist, as he has appts. next month with each of them due to them finding nodules on his prostate, plus his BP was too high. Good grief, this poor guy does all he can to be good and he still can't win, very aggravating. Hopefully his tests will come back ok, but it is going to be a VERY busy march for us. He went to the dermatologist yesterday, so far the lil lumps are nothing to worry about, and the hives he thinks hubby is getting a reaction to one of his meds. Sheesh, he is on so many, how do ya narrow it down? Hubby thinks he knows which one it is, as he had worse hives before and then when they switched his meds. they got less, so at least that was a lil good news.
Good luck to U and hubby, and keep up the good work.......
