Hello My Clo is at 265 and the doctor told me that I can diet or get a med. My question is if I was to take meds for my cholesterol will is make my sex drive lower? People are telling me that it shrinks the male penis is this true? What can you tell me about the male sex drive, shrinking and testies on Cholesterol? Also what cholesterol med should I want to stay away from if any?

Cholesterol is used in making sex hormones. Possibly could lower sex drive. Even though I don't like cholesterol medications, I have never run across the shrinking problem. I would stay away from all cholesterol medications except the natural alternatives. But again this is just my opinion from the research I have done.

Naaahhh....these are just rumors from the supplement industry who wants to promote their supplements to cure mankind including sexual libido. Just look at all the commercials on TV anymore.
I have never seen such an industry become so relentless in ripping off innocent people. It's almost shameless.

Zocor seems to be the most mildest of cholesterol meds, its been around awhile so it s a sure shot. But thats not to say that the others do not work well.

As far as ripping off people is concerned, the drug companies are the experts. And, as for Zocor, the damn poison practically crippled my father!

Thank you arizona. It did cripple my mother, she is in a wheelchair now. She had extreme myopathy from Zocor. The doctors said it would not be the Zocor because her liver panels were normal. They have found that you can have extreme myopathy without liver elevations, and the only way to determine this is with a muscle biopsy.
