boubou,
Why don't you read the book from the library and give us a summary of Kowalski's methodology.
All I can find is that he recommends a "special plant substance" (my guess it it plant sterols.) His book was written 20 years ago so the info is kind of old and the first edition even predates the invention of statins.
The hype about the book always starts with "he had a heart attack and TWO bypass operations." Maybe it was the BYPASSES that saved his life rather than the subsequent diet he discovered. I think an ideal CURE diet might start with the phrase "he AVOIDED a heart attack and two bypass operation."
One has to be every skeptical about 8 weeek cures for a disease that takes a lifetime to develop.
His first heart attack was age 35, so he seems to be a special case of someone who must have done EVERYTHING wrong.
