You've come to a very helpful place. Lot's of people here share your condition, if not the identical reading. Additionally, there's lots of good information on what types of treatment people have undergone as well as some inspiring stories based on lifestyle changes.
I would think your Dr. would order another blood test for you, to confirm the cholesterol # as well as check your liver and kidney functions. Depending on your age, weight and lifestyle, as well as the level of your BP, they would most likely suggest some drug therapy. For the cholesterol, most likely a statin. For the BP, probably an ACE inhibitor in conjunction with 1 or 2 other medicines.
When I got an official diagnosis a little ove a month ago that my BP and cholesterol levels were very elevated, I was very aggravated. In reality, it can provide an opportunity to avert some real health disaster that can ruin the quality of your life.
I've been able to change my diet, increase my exercise and in conjunction with medications, seen some dramatic improvement in a little over a month. Seek out all the inspiration you can to maintain a good attitude because that might help you look back on the present revelation as a real opportunity!
