I need to know if anyone had had success with guggl lipid I am taking it 4 times a day plus 1000 mgs of fish oil as well. I can't take any of the other meds and I am hoping tht this helps me. It would help me greatly to hear some success stories. My next step is taking niacin and I am so afraid of getting the hot flashes. My friend takes the non flush niacin and says that it is not too bad but she only takes 500 mgs and I don't know if this is enough to do anything. Any advice??
If I recall,the question you asked in reference to niacin was answered by myself and I think gooba. 500mg is not high enough to make a difference.1000mg and higher is what you have to take to see a significant change.I am on 1500mg/day.
What is gooba? I am on guggl lipid- about 2000 mgs a day. Is that what you are talking about? THe niacin is only 500 mgs that I am going to try I just wanted to know if it is even worth taking- M
I meant Gooba as who answered a question for you and you had a discussion with.As for the Niacin.Each person is affected by medication in different ways.Try it.You may get better results at a lower dose.
I have been taking 1000 mg per day for several years now. It's greatest efect has been on my HDL (good chol) which has risen from 37 to 65. I take 500 mg after breakfast and 500 after supper. Mild flushing is the only side effect and it is not bothersome at all.
