tests result question - High Cholesterol Message Board

I just received my test results and though I know they are high I do have a question. Here are the results:
cholesterol: 336
triglyceride: 406
LDL/VLDL CALC. INVALID FOR TRIG >400
hdl: 33
ldl: 222
vldl: 81

Can anyone explain the invalid part?

I am a menopausal (by hysterectomy)

I think if the triglycerides are over 400, then the ldl and vldl cholesterol readings will be inaccurate.

LDL is rarely measured on most lab reports, but rather calculated from the other parameters using the following equation:

LDL = Total Cholesterol - HDL - Triglycerides/5

Most labs specify on the test report that LDL values may be invalid when triglyceride levels exceed 400 mg/dl.
