I've been on zocor 2 years,my legs are so weak can hardly stand sometimes.I was told I should have alot of leg pain with it.Did at first now just very very weak legs.Anyone one having this problem

does your dr. check your muscle enyzmes?my hubbys was high and he had to come off them(lipitor).

Who told you that you were going to experience alot of leg pain? It CAN be a side effect.The majority of people who take it experience either no side effects or very minor ones.
You do need to have blood work done to see if you have muscle damage.How do your legs feel when you exercise?

My PA told me and once they did blood work and it did show some muscle weakness but nothing was done.Anyone one know of a save colestrol medicine? They have me on 80mg of Zocor and said to try taking 40 mg. now.

Deeson, you are definitely not alone. My father had taken Zocor for two years and experienced the exact same symptoms as you have. He has been off it for over two months now and is beginning to feel slightly better. The pain no longer awakens him in the middle of the night. It certainly appears that symptoms can often develop long before anything abnormal shows up in a muscle enzyme test. If you want to read some really interesting stuff, check out the "Zocor Message Board". So far, from what I've read on that message board, it seems that just about anything is possible with this stuff.
