I just got my numbers. Wondering if I need to be on meds. My cholesterol has always been great until this summer. I am getting conflicting opinions.

Chol/HDL 3.3

My brother had stint at 40 years. I'm younger and a female. Does that make a difference?

Your numbers, in general, look quite good. Your TC/HDL ratio is very good. If you are overweight at all, even slightly, losing weight is at the top of the list of ways to make your ratios even better. I'm sure you will get many specific suggestions here. But there have been many that post here that would pay good money to have your numbers.

Thanks, I was confused because I really don't like taking medicine unless it is very necessary. I would rather go the natural route. I would like to know what vitamins to take to lower my LDL and raise HDL.
