Smile Dont' forget abou the "natural sugar" thing!

I've been on modified Atkins diet since 1/03. Lost 11 pounds but some folks seem to think you can lose all kinds of weight and still eat "natural sugar" - not so! Join the "sugar busters" diet!

If you are going to succeed on any kind of diet - you need to NOT eat anything above 2% carb and do not eat anything with "natural sugar" - there are things like strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, etc., that are loaded with fiber and have no natural sugar. These are fine and if not sweet enough, add SPLENDA!

Also: you probably know that a lot of veggies have "natural sugar" in them also. Stay away from corn, beets, etc., but keep up the salads (iceburg lettuce=no nutrition at all!) and oil & vinegar dressings (or check out Greek Vinagrette or Italian Vinagrette) You can also eat WHITE WHEAT bread or multi-grain muffins, bread and bagles! Check all the labels in the store and you would be amazed at what you CAN eat! I would recommend LOW FAT whenever possible in the dairy section, but eat plenty of fish, poultry, steak, eggs, cheese, etc. and iced tea with Splenda is also great!

Have you all heard or read about SMART BALANCE for a butter or marg substitute? It's so healthy!!! Read the label in your dairy or watch the TV ads! It's the only one that is truly healthy and safe to put on your bread! I cook with it also!

Getting back to SPLENDA!
Spelenda has no sachrine, ASPERTAIME (a real killer) and no calories! You can cook and bake with it too!

News flash!
Atkins has new candy bars out now and also Indulge - Atkins ice cream! I cannot wait! Walmart has the candy on the shelf already but nobody around where I live has the ice cream yet! I imagine it will "fly" off the shelves when it arrives!

Read the label and don't foget to deduct the % of fiber from the % of carbs to get an accurate read of carbs!
