My latest numbers. Analysis Anyone?

Total: 235
Triglycerides: 80
LDL: 136
HDL: 83
Risk Ratio: 1.64

Just looking for input.... How worried should I be with that LDL given my high HDL?

32 Years old and in pretty decent shape. Drink some; Don't smoke at all. Not overweight.

Never heard of a male with an HDL of 83. Wow you should be real happy!
That kind of number is usually reserved for the female sex of the species.
I would still try and lower your LDL just a bit. I think they say with no family risk factors you should be below 130. You are right on the border. Do you take any supplements like garlic, fish oil or RYR?

I just lowered my LDL from 154 to 112 by taking one (1) 600 mg. tab of red yeast rice per night, 600mg EPA/400mg DHA fish oil and one 6,250mcg tab of allicin garlic. All natural stuff by the way. Oh and don't forget the 100 mg. capsule of CoQ10 if you decide to take the RYR.

LDL is something that you do want to watch considering it is the one that leaves the plaque deposits in your arteries, I believe.

Yeah I'm pretty happy with that HDL! I try to cut out butter whenever possible and thus eat a lot of Olive Oil. I also eat a good amount of Flax seed in my yogurt. Fish oil gives me the "fish burps" so I can't stand them. I have taken CoQ10 and Red Yeast Rice pills in the past, but took a month off of all the supplements to cleanse my body a little. I think my LDL stems from eating too much red meat. I eat very little sweets, but do tend to probably drink a little too much at times. Could Alcohol cause a rise in LDL? I was under the assumptions it's mainly caused by fatty foods.

Not sure about alcohol but I just read that drinking too much decaffeinated coffee, one can experience a rise in fatty acids, which is the fuel in the blood that can drive the production of low-density lipoprotein LDL.
