| HDL particle size
Can someone explain to me which HDL is more protective, small dense HDL or the large HDL? I have read conflicting info on-line and in magazines as to which size HDL is more protective. I don't understand the confusion, I have read that the large HDL sweeps away the LDL, and conversely I have read that only small particle HDL gets into the small space in the arteries to sweep out the LDL.
