Total Cholesterol at 273... Going out to eat! Help? Hiya! Okay, so I'm 24... active, normal weight (5 foot 9.5 inches, 150 lbs). I'm a vegetarian, have been for 14 years. I just got my cholesterol levels back last week, and they were 273! My good cholesterol was 61, though.
So, I've been eating my Oatmeal and Cheerios every morning, haha. I also cut out cheese and high fat milk.
Tonight, I am going out for dinner... (yikes!). We are headed to a Chinese restaurant (pretty healthy, if you get the right thing).
I was thinking of ordering curry vegetables over white rice. Would that be a grave error? Haha, what should I order!?
