| How long for diet change to affect blood levels?
Last physical my LDL and triglycerides were quite high. I don't recall the readings but my MD had said he could refer me to a dietician(although I am not overweight).
I am a 50 year old male. About a year ago I had started going for chicken wings once a week with the people from work and eating 2lbs of wings along with a couple of pints of beer. This isn't my normal type of food. I am afraid it may have contributed to an unhealthy buildup in my system. The wings are the first thing to go. I used to go for drinks on a Saturday only so I thought maybe the added wednesday alcohol could have added to my triglycerides as well.
Before I make an appt for the dietician I am going to retest my cholesterol. I had dropped wing wednesdays and started running a couple of km, four mornings mornings a week. How long before my readings correct so I can retest accurately?
