The South Beach Diet has some good ideas and recipes for low carb eating. You can order the book. You'll even lose weight

Re: is it high?
hi devon baked beans are great, in fact many beans are an excellent source of carbs that get absorbed slowly, I use cans of 3 or 4 bean mixes in my recipes as much as possible because they are just such a healthy source of carbs.

Re: is it high?
Ok so I have the sugar results from the lab and they are spookily perfect:
Determination Result Normal Value
75gms OGTT
FBS 5.35 mmol/l 3.9-5.6 mmol/l
30mins 7.78 mmol/l Less than 11
1hr 7.29 mmol/l Less than 11
2hrs 5.45 mmol/l Less than 7.8
So it says I'm almost certainly not diabetic which I guess is a good thing but I can't help thinking they mixed my results up with the young chap in front of me as the Philippines is the incompetence capital of the world
