simvastatin and atvorstatin
My GP has decided to change my statins from simvastatin to atorvastatin because i have complained of muscle pain. Has anyone been through the same thing and did atorvastatin improve things? (apparently atorvastatin are much more expensive and a better statin)

Usually if you have muscle pain with one statin you will experience the same side effects with another. Some studies have shown that statins are of little use for women. Did you have diabetes prior to being prescribed statins or develop it after taking the medication?
