Re: can you reverse heart disease?
Something I wrote here 3.5 and 3years ago....
"From my readings, I believe that the intake of COq10 is not statin dose related. As almost everyone acts differently to drugs, it would be wise to take as below.
The human body starts to produce less CoQ10 in one's thirties. So if you are on statins/RYR in your 30s' - 40s' you need at least 100mg, going to 400mg a day when in one's 70+. Best to take it even if you are not on medication, as the body will certainly benefit from this vital natural supplement, where 30mg daily is recommended.
One should use 100% Japanese Kaneka (trans-isomer), ubiquinone/ubiquinol."
"As Ubiquinol is the end product following conversion by the body of Ubiquinone, you have made the right choice. As a matter of interest, the former dose for dose is reportedly six times stronger than the latter. One word of warning, if your mum also has high blood pressure and is taking drugs for this condition, CoQ10 also lowers BP, so monitor closely. No interactions with BP medication."
The manufactured COq10 by Healthy Origins is recommended.
