No I did not need a medical id for the toprol xl, but I did list it as one of my meds on my medical id bracelet, bcuz I a diabetic. Topriol xl is a very powerful drug. I wear a medical bracelet with all my prescriptions listed and the strength in case of emergencies. I wouldn't want the er to give me the stuff.
