From this, and your previous posts, I really suspect that your anxiety is one of your biggest enemies right now and almost taking on a life of its' own!

High blood pressure is normally symptomless.I seriously doubt that the BP numbers you've posted previously are high enough to cause the pulsing fingertips and head sensations.

Yes, it's possible to get an elevated BP reading 6 months after a normal one, but again, this doesn't mean you have hypertension per se. You say in other posts you've been struggling with anxiety for about the same amount of time. If you are in a chronic state of anxiety, it follows your BP may be higher than normal.

A lot of people's heart rate escalates after eating. Your body is working to digest the food. It also may be the result of what you are eating. Sugar and certain carbs will do it.

Regarding systolic and diastolic #s, the one that the medical profession now considers a more important indicator of future cardiovascular problems/damage is the systolic (the top #).

Elevated BP under anxiety-provoking situations (including at doctor's office) does not mean you have true hypertension.

Hypertension is diagnosed when your BP is up and STAYS UP day after day when relaxed and at rest.

It would be helpful if you'd invest in your own BP monitor...take your BP yourself over a period of time and get an idea of what your readings are on average in your home environment, at least 1/2 hour before or after exercise, food or smoking.
