I don't know what his weight is, but even losing 10-20 pounds and exercising regularly is certainly a good way to try and get the pressure down and you don't have to buy anything!
Other than that I hear garlic with 4000mg Allicin content may help. I am reading a book whereby they talk about making permanent lifestyle changes to battle hypertension--not just medicine... not just diet... not just exercise, but a combination (with as little medication as needed).
