Question Newbie with Lopressor questions!
I was started on Lopressor a few days ago. I have only taken it twice, but everytime I take it I feel like I have strep throat and I am short of breath. Does this sound like side effects? I called my pharmacist, she said that it sounded like an allergic reaction. I don't want to call my doctor until Monday, so I did not take it today. Can anyone tell me anything about Lopressor?

I just did a quick web search on the words Lopressor and side effects, and one of the sites I found lists both difficulty breathing and sore throat as side effects. I know this will alarm you, but it also says to call your doctor immediately if you experience those side effects.

I'm not a doctor, and I don't know anything else about Lopressor, but perhaps you should do your own web search and decide whether to call your doctor today.

Thank you for doing a search. I am going to try and search for more information. I just hate to bother my doctor on the weekend. I did not take it yesterday and I did not have those symptoms.
