Off the top of my head are dandelion, uva ursi (don't ask!), hydrangea, buchu???(something like that.)
The herbals are MUCH more expensive than HCTZ and don't work as well.
Try DOANS PILLS for backache...it's got a melange of all the above herbals and supposedly eases backache by diuresis, supposedly draining fluid from the site of inflammation. Not cheap though for everyday use.
Any health food store will have several formulations of diuretical herbs.
