My numbers are creeping up...I think. They tend to vary quite a bit.
The Diovan HCT 160/25 seems to work pretty well for me. For a month or two my numbers were consistently 120-125/65-70. Now, they are in the 130-140/70-75 range.
I have been really busy for the last couple of weeks and haven't exercised as much...and I might have been eating a little worse (normally I eat VERY healthy for BP). Could that really drive it up that much?
Also, it seems like my systolic gets affected WAY more. Any thoughts?
My numbers are creeping up too - enough that I went to see the doc today. He increased one of my meds, and then said something I thought was odd - that he had to increase several other peoples' meds, too.
Can blood pressure be affected by the season? It's November - the days are shorter, less sunlight. (I'm still exercising and watching what I eat - so I know it's not that in my case.)
My Systolic has been a little bit higher too lately, but my B/P is still in the 116-120 over 66-75 range depending on the day. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Your change isn't that drastic.
You made me smile with your reference to the election.. That.. plus being extra busy, less exercise, maybe eating habits slipping a little..that'll do it.
The systolic is always the most labile # and shifts accordingly when any of the above factors (and more) come into play. I wouldn't worry.
