It might sound nuts, but Altace did nothing for my BP, and yes, it use to spike ALOT! Altace gave me heart palps, diarrhea, flushing, and some foot and ankle swelling. My old dr. wouldn't take me off of it, said it was a great drug, well it might be for some, but it stunk for me. I finally took myself off of it and had my new dr. put me on Avapro. Not all meds. work the same on all folks. I was on it for over a year, so I know I gave it time to try and work!!
Don't know how long U have been on it, but if your BP doesn't come down within a few weeks to a month, have the dr. change your meds. U know your body better then anyone else, so don't take no for an answer if your dr. gives U a hard time. Good luck....
